Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has reiterated that the war on corruption in the county is ongoing.
The governor while speaking on Saturday at Pumwani Grounds in Kamukunji during the Mashujaa Day celebration confirmed that he can't spare even his relatives in the graft war.
"Corruption is an enemy to development and therefore, I am committed to ensuring that the menace comes to an end. County workers engaging in dubious dealings should stop and surrender what they have stolen before the law catches up with them," said Sonko.
The vocal governor assured residents that he is ready to run a county which is free from graft for the purpose of boosting the lives of the people of Nairobi.
"Public funds should be used appropriately to initiate various development projects. Whoever is caught stealing must face the full force of the law," he noted.
Sonko said his administration is supporting the Jubilee government's Big 4 Agenda.
He said he will not be afraid sacking lazy and corrupt CeC officers.
"I won't condone chief officers who sleep on their job. All I want is a hardworking team to enable me deliver as by the campaign promises," he added.
