Upon mentioning the subject of Biblical relationship or courtship is mentioned, there is so much that differs from the modern courtship.
The motives of Biblical courtship, the mindset and the aim of the relationship is majorly centered and based on the relationship with Jesus Christ as the center.
In 1st Corinthians 6:18 the Bible says “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body”.
1. The motive is different
The main purpose of dating in the Biblical aspect is for the sole purpose of getting a spouse. The goal is to find a partner that will eventually be your lifetime partner.
But in the modern dating, courtship has become so casual that one may date a person with no intention of having anything serious with them, just to pass time. In the bible, we don't encounter any form of dating for recreation purpose as compared to modern dating because it is not acceptable Biblical.
2. The conversations are different
In Biblical dating, the form of communications and the topics of discussion in relationships is majorly filled with the desire to know the other person better and with the anticipation of getting into marriage.
But when you have a look at modern dating, conversations are casual and lack sense of seriousness because a person has no serious interest with the other partner.
3. Methods are different
When you have a look at modern/digital recreational dating, the methods absolutely differs from the foundation of Biblical setting. In the Bible, all through you realize that commitment to one another comes before intimacy but in the modern dating, it is the other way round, intimacy comes before commitment.
Lovers tend to have both emotional attachment and physical intimate before they come to discuss if marriage really makes sense.
