Deputy President William Ruto has said Kenyans will not judge him in 2022 based on fake polls being funded by desperate opponents.
Speaking on Thursday at Tendere sports grounds in Kisii County, Ruto said that he is innocent, adding that the report by Ipsos ranking him as the most corrupt individual in the country is false.
“My desperate opponents should know Kenyans will not judge me in 2022 using fake polls. Kenyans will elect me based on my performance. I am not going to succumb to detractors,” he noted.
Ruto said he is committed to ensuring the Jubilee government delivers the Big Four agenda.
“Jubilee government has the Big Four agenda to implement and that is what exactly I am focused on. Criticism will not make me become lazy. It is time political leaders joined hands and work around the clock to develop the country and boost the standards of living of our people,” he added.
Ruto further said that he has acquired all his wealth legally and everyone should work hard to get his or her own wealth.
“People should stop being jealous over my wealth which I have struggled to make. I have worked hard to be where I am and I urge everyone to work hard and trust God to acquire wealth like me,” he added.
