A banana vendor in Lang'ata constituency was left struggling with bruises on his face moments after receiving money from President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday morning.
The president had visited Uhuru Gardens Primary School to oversee ongoing Kenya Certificate for Primary Education exams early morning.
Outside the institution's gate, Uhuru made a stopover to interact with onlookers who cheered him on.
And the president bought bananas from a vendor for breakfast before exiting the scene, leaving the man in trouble.
After Uhuru motorcade left, the onlookers turned on the vendor for 'tokens' he had received from the Head of State.
In the video, the man is seen struggling to save his life from hungry Kenyans who perhaps thought the president would 'give them something to eat'
However, it is not clear how much the man reaped from the president after selling a bunch of banana but the struggle he endured in the hands of his 'attackers' indicate that it was something worth.
Since the exit of President Daniel Moi from the scene, his successors have been taking precautions on dishing out money to Kenyans on the roadside or public rallies.
Throughout his tenure, President Uhuru Kenyatta's predecessor Mwai Kibaki never openly have out money.
