Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has disowned Deputy President William Ruto after he celebrated ODM loss in Ugenya and Embakasi South mini polls.

Maangi slammed DP Ruto for taking advantage of ODM's loss to criticize the party leadership saying in any election there must be a winner and a loser. 

"There is no way in an election all contestants can win or lose. Politicians including DP Ruto should stop celebrating ODM's recent loss because the electorates in the two constituencies elected their leaders of choice and not a party," he said. 

The opposition allied governor appealed to politicians not to politicize issues which may lead to chaos. 

He challenged leaders irrespective of their political parties to tolerate each other. 

Maangi who was speaking on Monday when he attended the official launching and registration Huduma number in Suneka, Bonchari constituency termed the Huduma number program as a personal identification system that will help simplify processes and enhance public service delivery in Kenya.

"We urge all Kenyans and especially residents of Kisii County to join us in heeding to President Uhuru Kenyatta's directive that we are NIIMS compliant to boost governance," he added.
