Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has yet again been subjected to ridicule following his lengthy speech on Tuesday during the official opening of county assembly.
The second term ODM governor was among dignitaries invited to deliver keynote speech in the Third Session of the assembly that was held in the assembly’s premises in Nyamira.
In his speech that was split into his achievements and development projects, Nyamira emphasized on health and agriculture with the latter throwing him off balance as MCAs protested.
“My government has commeciliased vegetables, fish and banana products and this is one of the achievements we have set in the agricultural department. We however, have more to do,” he stated.
But a section of MCAs accused the governor of lying to the public with some threatening to unleash should he fail to withdraw his remarks at the assembly.
“This is outright conmanship. There is nothing new in that speech other than his usual theatrics that we are however used to. He has cheated the people of Nyamira,” claimed George Mosiori, nominated MCA.
Fred Omayio, the flamboyant Magwagwa MCA added: “We have wasted a lot of time listening to innuendos. This Mzee keeps on cheating the people.”
