A section of Jubilee leaders from Gusii region have lauded the move by President Uhuru Kenyatta to appoint Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i as the head of all departments.
The leaders, led by Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari said Matiang'i has won the Head of State's trust.
"We must now admit that Matiang'i is overworking until the President appointed him for the top post. Gusii community leaders should not take Matiang'i for granted since he now qualifies to be president," he said.
Jubilee party chairman in Bomachoge Borabu George Bibao argued that Matiang'i has over performed hence landed the new role in the Jubilee government.
"We have a man from Gusii community who is able to head all ministries in government while he is the Cabinet secretary for the crucial Interior ministry," said Bibao.
Nyamira County MP Jerusha Momanyi congratulated Matiang'i adding that he must put more efforts for the purpose of performing better in his new role.
"Matiang'i need to work around the clock so that other cabinet ministers can deliver to boost the President's Big 4 Agenda," she noted.
