Maalim later joined the University of Nairobi (UoN) for his Bachelors in Law Degree.
He is an advocate of the High court and an experienced legal expert.
The former MP is said to be studying Master’s Degree in Development Studies as he strategies for 2022 polls.
Political pundits argue that Maalim has achance of making a comeback in active politics.
He recently buried his political hatchet with Garissa Township MP Aden Duale in the spirit of the Uhuru-Raila handshake.
Maalim, however, missed out in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recent state appointments raising speculations on his political future.
