AFC Leopards has promoted young star Clark Achuka from Ingwee Cubs to the senior team on a five-year contract deal.

The club through its official twitter account posted that Achuka has been promoted to the senior team fro the junior side on a five year deal.

"Achuka was the 2018 Football Federation of  Kenya (FKF) Nairobi West Region League top scorer with 24 goals, he has been training with the senior team and impressed our technical bench." Read part of the tweet.

The youthful striker will have to compete for the forward position with experienced Tanzanian Marcel Kaheza, Rwandese Wayi Yeka and former Cub team mate Vincent Oburu who is having tough moment at the den due to prolonged injury.

Achuka who is now eligible to play in the Kenya Premier League(KPL) will help the 12 times champions to reclaim its glory who are now position 11 with six points from five matches. 

He will be expected to fill the position of Alex Orotomal and Ezekiel Odera the top strikers for AFC Leopards last season who left the club during the summer window transfer.

AFC leopards has be known for signing young talents in the recent past, the likes of Marvin Nabwire a rocky midfielder who was signed from Green Commandos of Kakamega High School.
