Hours after the Turkana helicopter crash that left five people dead, nominated MP Gideon Keter has termed the accident 'malicious' and demanded proper investigations.
Captain Mario Magonga, who has been official pilot for DP Ruto, died instantly with four tourists and Lake Turkana National Park on Sunday.
On his Facebook page, Keter, a close ally of DP Ruto, insisted that with Mario's experience, 'he could have not just crashed like that, a move that could ignite political temperatures.
"A well trained pilot who has been cleared and certified to fly high profile dignitaries like President Obama, EU members and Deputy President of Kenya can’t crush just like that. We read, impunity and malice from the the enemy and to bereaved families, pole, and God is not asleep. We need full detailed report to the cause of the crush, this is not a normal incident... We are not acting movies this time, our aviation industry should be protected," he wrote.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka said the body of Mario, his first cousin, was retrieved at 2am on Monday, adding that he was an experienced pilot.
"He (Magonga) went off the radar and they were unable to trace him until about 2am when they found his wreckage. The only thing we know is he was the one flying the helicopter," he told NTV.

Mario was a Colonel in KDF before quitting for private piloting business. His father, Brigadier Pius Magonga, also served in KDF in Artillery Department.
