Law Society of Kenya headed by Allen Waiyaki Gichuhi has asked authorities concern to speed up investigations over recent brutal killings of their member Mr Jeremiah Meeme Kinyua.
On a press release on Thursday, LSK condemned the incident which caused the death of Meeme and 4 others along Juja, Thika road on Tuesday night.
Meeme and his colleagues were shot dead in the car by alleged robbers who were armed. LSK noted that there have been a series of killings of Advocates in recent years. In the case of Meeme, they are requesting for hurried investigations into the fateful murder.
"As we Await further information, we urged the government of Kenya and all the relevant authorities including Director of Criminal Investigations(DCI), Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP), National Police Service(NPS) and the Judiciary to immediately take necessary measures to ensure speedy investigations and to ensure those involved are swiftly brought to Justice, "reads part of the press release
On their press release signed by Charles Kanjama, the condoled the families which were affected by the tragic incident.
