Finally, Isuzu East Africa has fulfilled its promise to Marathon World Record holder Eliud Kipchoge by delivering a brand new luxury Isuzu D-Max double cab which has been quoted at Sh5.9 million.
This follows Kipchoge's stunning performance in the Berlin Marathon where the 33-year-old broke the world record and Kenyans on Twitter could not keep calm.
The event held at Sports Club in Eldoret on Thursday saw the Eldoret-based runner going away with his well-deserved gift. He was presented with the keys from Isuzu Managing Director Rita Kavashe at exactly 2.01:39 pm which marked his world record.
Kipchoge revealed how partnering with Isuzu made his training easier preparing him well to lower the record previously held by Dennis Kimetto who is also a Kenyan.
“Partnering with Isuzu made my training easier and going to Berlin Marathon, I had to show that I had prepared well for a world record. The company gave me the third leg and that is why I was able to lower the record,” said Kipchoge.
The record-breaker further revealed his present on his official Twitter handle and this is what Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) had to say;
