Some of of the players have proceeded to retirement, while other young players have joined the team.

As we start a new decade, we have assessed the players  according to their performance, ability and longevity in the last 10 years.

A 4-3-2-1 formation has been used in the team of the decade.

Goalkeeper

Over the last ten years, Arnold Origi solidified his place as Kenya's number one shot stopper.

He has, however, changed his nationality and is now a Norwegian.

Defenders:

In right back, the team will have James Situma, with Abud Omar playing on the left back. Joash Onyango and Edgar Ochieng pair together to complete the back four.

Midfield

Kenya's current captain Victor Wanyama will lead the midfield alongside, Jamal Mohamed and veteran Titus Mulama.

Forwards

On the wings, Michael Olunga and Patrick Oboya have been selected, with Dennis Oliech serving as the lone striker.

Here is the full team:

Arnold Origi, James Situma, Edgar Ochieng, Joash Onyango, Abud Omar, Victor Wanyama, Jamal Mohamed, Titus Mulama, Patrick Oboya, Michael Olunga, and Dennis Oliech.

The team will be coached by Adel Amrouche.

Editor's note: Please note that this is the opinion of the writer. He has selected players based on ability, performance and longevity. Harambee Stars had several big names in the past decade, their absence from this team does not mean they were not good.
