Both Siaya, Kisumu and Homa Bay Counties wants recognition in the July 16th visit which is said to be restricted.

Homa Bay is where Obama's great grandfather was buried, Kisumu is where Obama's chartered plane will land while Siaya is where his father, Obama Senior was buried.

According to insiders, there is intensive lobbying with all sides pushing to be included in the President's itinerary which could be tight in the one day visit.

There are reports that Auma Obama, the half sister to the president, who will be hosting his brother, has only invited few people to the function.

While in Kogelo, Obama is expected to commission Sauti Kuu Foundation, a vocational training center initiated by Auma.

And in Kisumu, governor Peter Nyong'o, who is expected to receive Obama, is also pushing to at least host the famous former president at least for few minutes.

Further, Luo Council of Elders also want to be included in the programme with insiders saying they are pushing to be accommodated either in Kisumu or at the function.

Obama last visited Kenya in 2015 as a US president and did not travel to his father's ancestral home in Siaya.
