1. The Early HIV test

This test is designed to detect the hiv virus, not the antibodies produced in response to the virus. This test is basically important when you had unprotected sex with a questionable person.

 The test is often performed on a blood specimen drawn from an arm. The beauty about it is that it can discover if you are afflicted when you are still in the window stage of the antibody test. 

2. The Standard HIV test

It is used for normal testing or when the rapid HIV test is not available. Unlike the abovementioned test, this test detects HIV antibodies in the blood and is usually performed on blood is drawn from the vein. 

After the blood has been drawn from your body, it will be taken to the lab for analysis. This will take 5 days. 

3.The Rapid HIV test

This test is more accurate and gives a result in a blink of an eye. The test is simple and it involves jabbing your finger. The blood specimen is placed on the kit and within some minutes, the results will be out. If you are negative or positive, the doctor or an expert will tell you.
