Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has been asked to stop bothering himself about 2022 polls.
According to Alpha Ondieki Miruka MP for Bomachoge Borabu, Maangi should keep quiet and focus on serving the electorate who elected him and his boss, Governor Ongwae during the last year's polls.
"Maangi must work and stop early 2022 politics. I want to tell him that it is the electorates who will make a final decision in the ballot come 2022 on who to succeed Governor James Ongwae," he noted.
The lawmaker added that electorate will only elect Ongwae's successor based on development ideologies.
"Kisii residents are not desperate to be cheated easily. Come 2022 gubernatorial aspirants shall be weighed based on development before being elected to succeed Governor James Ongwae," he noted.
He urged elected MCAs across the county to deliver failure to which they will lose their seats in 2022.
"MCAs were not elected to travel abroad and sleep in big hotels while boycotting their duties. Feeder roads deep in villages must be opened up to ease transportation of people and goods to various markets across the county," said the MP.
