Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo has been rushed to hospital after falling sick while attending the installation ceremony of Catholic Archbishop Philip Arnold Subira Anyolo.
The Governor who was among the dignitaries present at the ordainment ceremony at Uzima grounds in Kisumu was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital after complaining of chest pains.
Doctors at the facility have however indicated that professor Nyongo' is in a stable condition and that there was not much to keep people worried about.
The Governor's health has been attracting attention after he was rushed to hospital in February 2017 during the campaigns. He says it was as a result of an accident was involved in on Kiambu Road while being driven to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for an early morning flight to Kisumu in 2016.
He was then advised to seek further medical attention by the Aga Khan Hospital Nairobi as he reported in an opinion piece in one of our local dailies.
He said that he had been surviving on painkillers before he had a major hipbone surgery in the USA in early 2018 that made him feel better.
The ceremony which has seen Raila and Ruto meet in Kisumu again has been graced by political leaders across the political divide.
