Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has mourned the death of former Bomachoge MP Zephaniah Nyangwara.
Maangi described the deceased as a kind and hardworking leader who served his constituents between 1997-2002 diligently.
"It is with deep sense of sadness that I have learned of the untimely death of the Hon. Zephaniah Nyangwara, a former member of parliament for Bomachoge Constituency (1997-2002).Hon. Nyangwara will always be remembered for his contribution in the social and economic development of the people of Bomachoge and Kisii County," Maangi wrote on his Facebook page.
He added; "I convey my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. May the almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace."
Maangi is keen to succeed his boss Governor James Ongwae in 2022.

He is determined to get support from all corners of the county to become the second governor of Kisii County once Ongwae completes his second and final term in office come 2022.
Maangi has been close with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 polls and in several occasions, he has defended his association with DP Ruto saying they have been good friends since childhood.
