Hours after Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga and Senator Moses Kajwang backed a partnership between Raila Odinga and Senator Gideon Moi, more leaders have joined the bandwagon.
Mr. Moi, the second term Baringo senator, ended his two days trip to South Nyanza that saw areas leaders back his bid for presidency.
And MPs Dr Lillian Gogo (Rangwe), Adipo Kuome (Karachuonyo), Anthony Oluoch (Mathare), Charles Were (Kasipul), Gladwel Cheruiyot (Baringo Woman Rep) and Nominated Senator Abshiro Halak all termed Mr. Moi as a sober leader who deserves to lead the nation.
"We won't be left behind. I urge Moi to consider working with Raila. The pair can do wonders to this country," Ms. Gogo said.
Mathare's Oluoch added: "We have no problem Raila working with Moi. He's a sober leader who can help put the country in order."
During the function at Homa Bay Tourist Hotel, Moi donated Sh3 million for Abedo Women Group, which constitutes traders from 14 markets.
In his speech, he insisted that he will work closely with Raila to spur growth in the country, adding that their partnership dates back in 90s.
"I have no problem working with Raila since the handshake. He's a friend to me and my father. We are working hard to get to Canaan as he says."
