Kisii County Women Member to the National Assembly Janet Ong'era has threatened to name and shame drug lords in the county in parliament.
While speaking on Friday at her office in Kisii town, the opposition allied MP said she would not be scared naming the drug barons who are focused on ruining the lives of youths.
"Drug lord who are selling and distributing illegal drugs including bhang in Kisii county should stop immediately before I name and shame them in Parliament because I know them," she said.
She reiterated that youths in Kisii county are being rendered useless due to the use of illegal drugs.
Ms Ong'era challenged residents to be on high alert and report the drug lords to authorities to facilitate their arrest.
"Locals should not keep quiet whenever they will come across drug lords. Drug traffickers belong to jail since they don't want to spare the lives of youths," she added.
The Orange Democratic Movement Party MP warned local chiefs against condoning drug sellers in their areas of jurisdiction.
"Chiefs in deep villages should intensify crackdown to flush out illegal drug sellers from villages," she stated.
