Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi is on the verge of losing his parliamentary seat after being kicked out of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party membership list.
In a letter earlier this week, the Registrar of Political Parties noted that it had removed Osotsi's name from the ANC party membership and proceeded to notify him of the same.
"The name of Hon. Godfrey Atieno Osotsi has been removed from the party membership register of Amani National Congress (ANC) as decided by your party. By copy of this letter, the Honourable member is notified of the same," reads the letter in part, as was seen by Citizen Digital.
Following the move by the registrar, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has urged Osostsi to soldier on, adding that the legislator will emerge victorious at the end.
"Hon. Godfrey Osotsi, you shall overcome this battle. I know you very well. There has never been any loyal soldier to Hon Musalia Mudavadi in the ANC than you. You always fought for that party even when everyone had concentrated on NASA politics," Etale tweeted.
In March, the party passed a resolution to expel Osotsi following a special National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
