According to the Standard, the group has been seeking a new destination and has since settled on the Democratic Party (DP).

Confirming the claims on Friday,  Patrick Munene Kairu said that a host of sitting Senators, Members of Parliament and Governors have silently approached the party seeking membership ahead of the 2022 polls.

According to the Nation, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, former Gatanga lawmaker Peter Kenneth and businessman Jimmy Wanjigi have approached the bloc.

Others are former Starehe lawmaker Maina Kamanda, former Kirinyaga Senator Daniel Karaba, former Murang'a Senator Kembi Gitura and Charles Kibiru who failed in his bid for the Kirinyaga senatorial seat.

This comes amid apparently widening cracks within Jubilee where most of the Mt Kenya leaders and politicians seem to be accommodated.

Kairu added that the party is also in talks with other national leaders to join it ahead of 2022.

"We are also reaching out to Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya and his PNU, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, and Nairobi politician Peter Kenneth to dissolve their parties and join us so that we can form one formidable political outfit,” he told the paper.
