One of the Kisii county employees has been arrested over allegations of masquerading to be the county public service board chairperson.
Confirming the incident on Thursday, Kisii central OCPD Francis Nguli said the suspect is a lady who allegedly been coning people by promising to employ them to work for Kisii county government
.“People have been reporting that there is a lady who coned them by promising to employ them to work in the government of Kisii County,” said Nguli.“
The suspect is in our custody and will be arraigned in court tomorrow,” he added.
It is said that a section of Kisii county residents have been giving her money to get county jobs.
“According to the reports we have people who have been coned are not less than ten and we expect more to come to record the statements and that will be used as evidence against the culprit,” said Nguli.
He also added that some have already recorded statements at Kisii central police station as investigations are underway.
