Residents of Litein in Kericho County have taken a swipe at police officers blaming them of laxity following harrowing incident where a woman was killed by thugs during the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
Thugs stormed the family home of a prominent businessman and killed his wife while gang-raping her three daughters and their house help.
Residents responded to distress calls andd rushed the victims to Litein Mission Hospital.
The residents questioned police capacity to offer security after a similar incident in which a teacher and his wife were also brutally murdered in the area.
“People are being murdered and police are doing little to help us. We want answers,” said a resident.
