A man died Tuesday after a dramatic incident at Migaa, along Salgaa stretch, on the busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
The unidentified man is said to have jumped off a moving bus landing into a ditch.
Witnesses said the bus did not stop.
It was not clear why the man jumped as he could not speak after getting injured.
“I was waiting for a matatu a few metres from the scene when I suddenly saw the man fall off the bus and roll into a ditch away from the tarmac. The bus did not stop,” a witness said.
The man then succumbed to injuries as there was no one to rush him to hospital.
A police source said they arrived at the scene after receiving a call from members of the public but found the man had succumbed.
“He had no identification documents on him. He had Sh29,000 in his pockets. Witnesses have given us the name of the bus company,” the source added.
