Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka is now questioning Deputy President William Ruto's sincerity in the fight against corruption, accusing him of bias and taking sides.
Speaking on Monday, the MP wondered why Ruto appears very interested in the ongoing fake gold scandal saga, which happens to have implicated opposition leader Raila Odinga.
He detected malice in Ruto's condemnation of the new scandal, wondering why he never speaks with such passion and vigour when such touch on the government which he co-leads.
He noted that no state money has been lost in the scandal, therefore finding Ruto's actions questionable.
"When you look at the gold scam no government money has been lost, when government money is stolen the DP doesn’t talk about it," he said on NTV's AM Live, Monday morning.
The DP has since taken up the matter, especially Raila's said involvement, and on Sunday bashed the leader for using his African Union docket to engineer his deals.
This was two days after the former Prime Minsiter's Friday declaration that he indeed knows something about the trade pitting Kenyan dealers and the Dubai royal family.
However, Raila claims that he was never involved in the trade, but was just a whistleblower and warned the buyers that they were being duped using fake voices, purportedly belonging to Interior CS Fred Matiangi.
