Embu Governor Martin Wanmbora's failure to honor the summons helped him escape the EACC officer's net as he was said to have had a function in his county to attend.

Had he appeared at Integrity House, he may have been arrested and detained awaiting to appear before a court on Monday.

Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji on Friday admitted that there are files his office is currently scrutinizing, and when the exercise is complete, more county chiefs may be arrested over corruption allegations.

"We have a number of files in different stages. As at now, I have completed those of two more governors. We are also tightening lose ends for the fourth governor’s papers," Haji said on Friday.

Ojaamong was the first governor to be arrested after he was accused of flaunting procurement rules when he is said to have single-handely directed for the award of a tender to a company that was contracted to clear garbage in Busia county.
