Reports indicate that Ogai submitted a letter of resignation to the club after his side was held in a 0-0 stalemate by Nzoia Sugar on Wednesday.

The power men the last victory came in February against Mount Kenya United, a run that has seen them drop to 14 in the log with 27 points.

“I have resigned as Western Stima coach effective immediately.  Recent results have not been favouring us, but the main reason why I walked away was the off-pitch issues,” Ogai was quoted by Goal.com

Ogai, who was voted the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK)  Coach of the Month for December had engineered Stima's revival from the National Super League and started the season on a high before registering an array of dismal performance from February.

He wished the new coach success without issuing any notice of returning to the dugout any time soon.

“I wish the new coach and the team all the best in the remaining matches and I hope they can finish in a respectable position on the table," he said.

New coach Salim Babu will take on his former side Sony Sugar in his first match in charge on Saturday in Kisumu
