An unidentified decomposing body of a man believed to be in his 30’s has been found dumped at Sironga, Ibucha Sub location along the Nyamira-Kisii High way.
According to Nyamira South OCPD Lillies Wachira, the man is believed to have been killed elsewhere and his body transported to the scene where it was discovered on Wednesday.
“The body is suspected to have been transported to the scene where it was found. There was no struggle at the scene meaning it might have been brought there last night,” said Wachira.
The incident was reported by area assistant chief Peter Nyamosi at around 6 am, Wednesday.
Wachira noted that the body was wrapped in dry bedding, an indication that the man might have been killed and kept in a room before his killers decided to dump it by the roadside.
She said police have launched investigations to identify the body and trace his last movements to arrest his possible killers.
The body was moved to Nyamira County Referral Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy and identification.
