Rebellious Embakasi East MP Babu Owino insists ODM leader Raila Odinga is the right candidate to deliver Kenya from maladministration and escalating corruption.
With 2022 presidential debate dominating both social and mainstream media, only Deputy President William Ruto has come out as a strong contender in the race.
But Owino, a staunch supporter of Raila Odinga, insists the ODM leader still remains the favourite to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta who retires in 2022.
"Hon Moses Kuria has made it clear that, one of you being the President is not a guarantee for better treatment! It's all about leadership not region/tribe .
"I will vote for Raila Odinga in 2022 & should he decide not to vie, I will add his name to my ballot paper and vote for him," said Owino, a first term legislator.

Mr Odinga has had four unsuccessful outing in presidential race with his real chances coming in 2007, 2013 and 2017 where he disputed the outcomes.
In 2017, Supreme Court of Kenya nullified Uhuru's victory in favour of Mr Odinga but he pulled out of repeat elections citing bias by electoral body, IEBC.
Although Raila is yet to declare his stand, his allies led by Siaya Senator James Orengo insist that he must be on ballot in the 2022 polls after agreeing to support Uhuru's agenda.
"Mr President, Raila is the only qualified candidate to take over after you. It will be prudent if you consider supporting him," he told Uhuru at Kisumu.
