Police are probing an incident in which seven people have been accused of impersonating President Uhuru Kenyatta to rob businessman Sameer Africa chairman Naushad Merali Sh. 10 million in a fraudulent land deal.

Henry Waswa, who is among the suspects, is not new to controversy, reports Standard

Details show that Waswa has been living like a king before the deal turned sour. 

Waswa was arrested alongside Gilbert Kirunja, Duncan Muchai, David Luganya, Isaac Wajekeche, William Simiyu and Anthony Wafula.

The father of two, hit the headlines in 2016 after he offered Bungoma's 'James Bond' whose real name is Saleh Wanjala, a free air ticket after he hang on a helicopter that was transporting the late Businessman Jacob Juma’s remains to his resting place. 

It is also believed that the man owns more than five state-of-the-art clubs located in different parts of the nation. 

He also brought business at Nzatani Village in Kitui County to a standstill when he landed to pick his wife to be, Moreen Tabitha, with two choppers as well as an entourage of several cars.

It is also claimed that he parted with Sh5 million to purchase his spouse a wedding ring.

According to reports, the man contacted the businessman using several numbers before he convinced him to wire the money into an undisclosed bank account. 

The businessman noticed he has been communicating with con artists after he was robbed the said amount.

"The complainant realised he had been dealing with fraudsters after he had lost his Sh10 million," said Corporal James Mwangi, as quoted by Standard

Mwangi sought for the detention of the suspects pending a probe into the case.
