A first-time governor who was implicated in a high profile shooting case is set to make his first public appearance on Saturday 29, September.
It will be his very first time to address residents in a county still reeling from the unfortunate incident that has seen CEC Idris Mukhtar admitted in ICU for over a month now.
On Saturday, Ali Korane will be making his public address to the residents of Bura sub-county at the Bura Baraza Park in a meeting that is expected to bring together local leaders. The rally will be one of its own since
Korane will be testing the waters on public opinion over the case.
The reception will be a solid indicator as to whether the issue is gradually cooling down or if much is still to be done.
The new developments come at a time when DPP Nordin Haji is under pressure to arrest and prosecute the governor.
Blogger Robert Alai on Wednesday put the DPP to task even as the CEC's family lawyer Kanjama expressed dissatisfaction on the manner in which the case is being handled.
