The second term county boss on Sunday appealed to all leaders to unite for the sake of economic development.

In a tweet on Sunday, Mutua urged leaders from various sectors to come together for a national forum where they can discuss the country’s economic status.

He noted that the budget estimates announced by National Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Henry Rotich, showed that Kenyan leaders need to go an extra mile to transform the economy.

“I call for a National Economic Forum, bringing together leaders from the national and county governments, economic experts, scholars, business people and others to discuss “out of the box” ideas that will help spur our economy and in a Chap Chap manner, provide badly needed jobs,” Mutua said.

He further noted that it will be unfortunate to tax the poor and lose billions to corrupt persons, adding that leaders should brainstorm to come up with working ideas to change the life of tax payers.

"Our people do not want stories or political rallies. They want jobs, affordable lifestyles, and money in their pockets, because, it is always about the economy," he said.
