The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is yet to agree on its next move, a week after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) reinstated Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa as a member of the party.

The party had earlier in the year expelled the vocal lawmaker over disloyalty, thanks to her dalliance with Deputy President William Ruto, a ruling she moved to the tribunal to challenge.

According to the party chair John Mbadi, the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led party is yet to convene a meeting to decide a fate, with three options lying before it on how to handle the matter.

"The tribunal faulted ODM’s disciplinary committee and did not consider the party’s constitution. We are yet to have a meeting to decide on Jumwa,” he told the Standard on Sunday.

Mbadi said that some of the party's options include; appealing the PPDT's ruling at the High Court, obeying orders issued by the tribunal, or  to expel the MP afresh, using a duly constituted disciplinary committee.

This is after the tribunal, in its ruling on May 31 said that the committee that kicked Jumwa out was not properly constituted.

That party also failed to avail procedure documentation showing details of the members who grilled and expelled the MP.

The tribunal was as well not furnished with minutes of the committee hearing session, hence the annulment of Jumwa's ouster.
