Francis Ole Kaparo's National Cohesion and Integration Commission may have some work to do over Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina's purported speech at Mau Forest over the weekend.
In a video circulating on social media, the furious ODM senator is heard scolding women from the Kipsigis community, accusing them of escalating the situation 'which is already worse'.
"You cannot come here and claim that you're not leaving Mau yet you're the genesis of this problem. You cannot joke with bees and expect peace.
"In fact these Kalenjin women are the problem. They are stupid, wailing at night for nothing. Or this is a strategy? A very useless strategy and I think they belong to prison," fired Mr. Ledama.
A section of social media users now wants him nabbed over hate speech with some accusing him of spreading hatred.
On his Facebook, Peter Ndagi said: "This is pure hate speech and I wonder why he's free."
T. G Marigi, a resident of Kajiado added: "He's full of hate and authorities should have seized him by now."
Scores of people have been injured in the ongoing clashes between the two communities and the government has already imposed a dawn to dusk curfew.
The predicament was precipitated by the government's decision to flash settlers out of Mau water catchment, a move supported by Maasai leaders.
