The second in command has accused politicians of trying to Hijack BBI 2.
In an interview at NTV on Thursday, DP Ruto said BBI rallies is a public rally where no one needs permission from no one to attend it or not.
Deputy President William Ruto condemned the act of some people trying to arrogate themselves in the BBI rallies where he said that one has a right to join today, yesterday or even tomorrow.
He went ahead to reveal that, despite the fact that BBI 1 was accepted since it was a fair document to both the ordinary people and politicians, politicians are now taking advantage and want to hijack BBI 2.
DP Ruto also revealed that he has asked Yusuf Haji (BBI committee chair) for a chance during the hearing of BBI report, to be given a platform where he can issue out his ideas.
"BBI rally is a not where you ask me whether am going to Mombasa or whether somebody has allowed who to go to Mombasa, or whether who has given what conditions to go to this meeting or that meeting. People must stop arrogating themselves "the prefecture."....You can join today, you can join yesterday you can join the next day. "In fact for your information, I have already talked to Yusuf Haji, and I have told him, the day they'll begin the hearings, I want an opportunity to go and present my ideas because am seeing that, after we had accepted BBI 1, and well everybody said that this is a good document it captures what ordinary people go through to all the way what politicians want, but I see already the BBI 2, politicians want to hijack it." DP Ruto said
This happened after Ruto's allies agreed to attend the BBI rally in Mombasa, after previously denying to associate themself at all with the rallies accusing the ODM leaders of misusing the platform to amend their 2022, political formation.
