However, some of the features that make it beautiful have their bad sides, a number of them dangerous.

Here are some:

1. Kunste fly-over

Also known as the Solai flyover, the new interchange joining the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway and Nakuru-Nyahururu road at Kunste is indeed a very beautiful infrastructural development.

Its newness and the design makes it a very beautiful spot for photo taking and 'selfieing' as it gives one a scenic view of Nakuru town as well as its outskirts.

However, it forms a very good haven for criminals and robbers who can take advantage of the cover of darkness to commit crimes against innocent civilians.

2. Lake Nakuru National Park

For those who cannot afford to visit the park for bird watching among other animals, the Kenya Wildlife Service has left a 'frustration' square where broke residents can relax and peep through the park.

The place, which is at the entrance of the park, serves as a picnic spot for the hoi polloi.

As people picnic, baboons have developed a habit of coming out in search of leftovers.

These baboons, however, has a dislike for women and children.

They always stage attacks against them.

It is also a very dangerous place for children, in case they end up touching the electric fences.

3. Medical footbridge

The footbridge is a strategic spot for one to watch traffic get into Nakuru town or leave. It is a beautiful place for photos or scenery.

However, the beautiful view can be interrupted as it is a haven for marauding urchins.

With their sniffing glues, there is a risk of being mugged here!
