A dormitory at the famous Kisii High national school has caught fire that destroyed several properties on Tuesday night.
The dormitory that caught fire is the one near the Kisii-Keroka highway, but the fire didn't cause any bodily harm or death as all students were safe with non injured from the inferno.
School Board of Management Chairman Mr Patrick Nyagusia said property of unknown value was destroyed.
“The dormitory, commonly referred to us ‘Wire House’, was completely destroyed. Nothing was salvaged. But we are grateful to the County Disaster Team for their quick response in fighting the fire,” said Nyagusia.
The county government has urged locals to remain calm as they investigate the cause of the fire.
