The secret was let out by nominated MP Maina Kamanda on Saturday while on a political visit of Machakos County.

Kamanda was leading a group of MPs who are against Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

He said Jubilee’s name has been tainted and, therefore, they will look for a fresh party.

“You cannot tell which party we will support in 2022 because if our party is branded a party of thieves, we will move out,” said Kamanda.

An MP who leans towards a group calling itself Kieleweke confided to this writer that forming a partying is one their cards.

“We have several cards, but we will for sure have a party,” he said.

The Kieleweke group comprises Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, Maina Kamanda, Kangema MP Muturi Kigano and Kiambaa’s Paul Koinange.

On Sunday, the group of MPs made news after they were reportedly denied airtime in a church in Kikuyu constituency where they had reportedly taken their anti-Ruto tirade.
