A section of Members of Parliament were on Thursday tricked to walk out of parliament to ensure there was no quorum for the passage of the Finance Bill.

The controversial bill is introducing an 8% VAT on petroleum products.

A good number of MPs were opposing President Uhuru Kenyatta's recommendations on the Finance Bill. This forced the Leader of Majority Aden Duale to pull some tricks where he was accused of whipping MPs to get out of the house.

This comes as opposers of the bill claimed a temporary Speaker Suipan Tuiya had hatched a plan to rig the poll.
