He says it's against the law and those who will be found to have done the contrary will face the full force of the law.

“To those who have built structures on the land where roads are supposed to pass in Kipkenyo Ward I am giving you one week to demolish them failure to which we will come and demolish it ourselves,” said the Uasin Gishu County Commissioner.

Jaldesa who spoke during the security meeting at Kipakaren Estate Kipkenyo Ward on Monday said it's against the law to put any structures on the road reserve.

“I will work with the County government to ensure residents built their houses where they are supposed to and not encroaching road reserve,” added Jaldesa.

He further called on residents whose land has been grabbed through illegal means to register with their local chiefs in the next one week and come next week Monday the Deputy County Commissioner Kapseret will present the names to the commissioner.

He said after receiving the names he will form a multi-agency which will ensure that justice is served by ensuring they get back their land if they acquired it legally.

Jaldesa told those who have grabbed individual or public land to surrender it before they face the full force of the law.
