Here are some of the ways to make a living in Kibera:  

1. Sell chips

Chips is a snack that is loved by many especially ladies and children. Make it an initiative and start preparing chips and selling them especially in the evenings. It will greatly earn you a good living. 

Don’t just sit down and be a safara. 

2. Supply water

The business of making water available for Kibera residents can earn you a nice living. Most residential houses in Kibera lack water taps fitted within the houses. Tenants usually buy water to use for daily activities. Get yourself a mkokoteni and get down to work. 

3. Sell mandazis and chapattis early in the morning

Most people usually need readymade chapatis and mandazi in the morning to use for breakfast. Waking up early to make them and sell them to school kids and also those going for work will definitely earn you a good living in Kibera.
