Controversial lawyer Miguna Migunas has said that Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has never bothered to record his calls because he is clean. In a tweet, the activist-cum-politician said that the county boss has only been recording other crooks in government.

He noted that he is not surprised with the conduct of the governor after his conversation with Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris.

“Nasty. Crude. An extortionist. Paranoid. A crook. A scoundrel. Yes. Those words describe @MikeSonko. But the undeniable truth is that he only records his fellow crooks. He has never recorded me because I'm as clean as a whistle,” he tweeted on Saturday. 

On 16 May 2018 Sonko caused political ripples after appointing Miguna Miguna to deputize him following the resignation of Polycarp Igathe. 

The move elicited mixed reactions from different, factions. The governor was forced to drop the name after the government remained firm on the deportation of Miguna. 

The Self Proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader found himself in hot soup after he took part in the mock swearing in of Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga. The lawyer was arrested, taken to court and then send to Canada where is currently living.

Miguna has continued to launch endless attacks at the government following his deportation. He has insisted that his rights have been infringed.
