Police in Sultan Hamud, Mukaa Sub-County in Makueni County has launched a manhunt on a 38-year-old man, who was recorded on video assaulting his wife over claims that she has been cheating on him with another man.
In a video that has been widely circulated online, James Maweu, is heard telling his wife, Margaret Nthambi, to reveal the man “she has been sleeping with” failure to which he would beat her up.

Even after another woman's intervention to stop Maweu from beating up his wife, the charged husband is not deterred at all.
In the background, the woman can be heard saying: “James, James leave her alone. James, she has heard you.”
The two partners who stay in Sultan Hamud, have been operating a joint business, and have stayed together as a couple for 18 years. They are parents to a boy child aged 13.
