Migori senatorial by-election loser Eddy Oketch had arrangements with Raila Odinga and he's expected back into the ODM party, it has now emerged.
In a tightly contested race, Oketch scored 60, 000 with the eventual winner, Ochillo Ayacko taking it all narrowly with 85,000 votes.
And through Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Raila hopes Mr. Oketch, who ran on Federal Party of Kenya would some day come back to the Orange party.
"Actually Eddy Oketch was until a few weeks ago a member of ODM. Before many of these tweeps knew him, Baba took him in and put him on his technical team, the same opportunity I was given.
"He will come back to ODM because he knows the plans we have for him. Wacha hawa waongee tu," wrote Sifuna.
For the last few days, ODM has been condemned over the manner in which they handpicked Ochillo Ayacko, who was given a stuff competition.
And a source intimated that Raila had called for an emergency meeting when it emerged that Mr. Oketch was likely to carry the day.
However, a section of ODM leaders led by chairman John Mbadi, still insist that Mr. Oketch was funded by Deputy President William Ruto.
In a statement through David Mugonyi, Ruto dismissed the claims, adding that he doesn't know Mr. Oketch.
