ODM leader on Friday explained for the first time his suspected wrangles with Governor John Nyagarama, who was elected on his party.
Instead, Raila vehemently defended Nyagarama, blaming the deteriorating health of the county boss while undergoing treatment in the US.
“We should be thankful that the governor has made it. Only few can sometimes undergo these challenges and emerge triumph.
“I could call him and he couldn’t pick my calls. Later on I learnt that the doctors had strictly advised him against picking calls,” recalled Raila.
Former Embakasi South MP Irshad Sumra for the first time revealed the fallout between the two leaders when he visited Nyamira for ODM special task.
“I can assure you that the governor is no longer with us. I called him and he said he doesn’t have anything to do with the patty,” he had said.
Later on this Thursday, Nyagarama will now his fate following an appeal launched by Jubilee candidate Walter Nyambati.
