He was arraigned at Milimani Law court where he pleaded guilty to the charges of smuggling a baby out of Kenyatta National Hospital where he had a pending medical bill amounting to Sh56,000.

The judge on Tuesday handed Mr Murage a three-month suspended sentence meaning he shall be set free with a condition that he does not commit any other offence within the 3-month period.

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko also cleared the Sh56000 medical bill.

A suspended sentence is a jail term that does not apply with an immediate effect even though the person is found guilty of an offence.

The case will be dismissed in case the person found guilty does not break the law in the specified period of time

Boniface, however, warmed the heart of many Kenyans who dubbed him 'hero father' for his bold move of trying all he can for his daughter.
