During the Saturday and Sunday tour of Samburu, Baringo and West Pokot counties, Joho met former President Daniel Moi and several other local leaders including Gideon Moi, Tiaty MP William Kamket, Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda, West Pokot Governor Stanley Kiptis and several other local leaders.

Joho's trip to the region which widely supports Deputy President William Ruto sparked mixed reactions as seeks to vie for presidency in 2022.

The governor criticised Ruto, accusing him of looting from the taxpayer instead of working for them.

Sudi, a staunch ally of Ruto, attacked Joho, saying he visited the region to taint Ruto's name yet he himself has a dark past.

"We know he came here to target the DP but we want to tell him he is not in Ruto’s league. He is a nobody and his own record concerning graft makes him unfit to speak about the same," Sudi said, adding that Joho had been linked to drug business by Interpol.

The Jubilee lawmaker addressed the media in Eldoret flanked by Jubilee politicians Paul Kiprop and Sammy Ruto on Sunday.
