Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has refuted claims that he agreed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's government agenda on the promise of being appointed to the Cabinet.
Kalonzo says that he agreed to work with President Kenyatta for the interests of Kenyans.
He termed media reports that he asked for a job in order to support the Jubilee administration development agenda as false.
"The claims in some media outlets are false because our decision to support the Jubilee government was based on the issues facing the country and not appointments," he said in an interview with a local daily on Monday.
Last week, Kalonzo declared support for Jubilee government development agenda.
Kalonzo said that his working with Jubilee does not mean that the party will keep quiet when the government commits wrongs.
There are speculations that Kalonzo alongside other opposition leaders could be appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to top posts in his government.
Earlier, there were reports he would be named in Uhuru's Cabinet reshuffle.
However, State House Deputy Spokesperson Kanze Dena on Monday dismissed claims of a looming Cabinet reshuffle.
