Two parallel Eid al-Adha prayers were held in Nakuru on Tuesday owing to the differences between Muslims.
A handful of Muslims held prayers at Afraha stadium while a majority of them assembled at Menengai High school about 500 metres away.
The Muslim Association of Nakuru has been rocked in leadership row and a case is pending in court.
Addressing media in Nakuru, the chairman of the association Faizer Ahmed Nassir stated that it was great honor for the government to set aside a holiday for the Muslim community.
He added that as the Muslim community in Nakuru they were in full support of the fight against terrorism.
“The Muslim fraternity in Nakuru is fully in support of the fight against terrorism,” he said.
On the fight against corruption, Faizer said that the Muslim community was fully in support of the same and the President should live up to his word to leaving a legacy at the end of his term.
